Are you a licensed builder in Queensland?

Yes. B Ward Constructions holds QBCC Builder Licence No. 15145169 and carries full public liability and home warranty insurance as required for residential construction in Queensland.

What areas do you service?

We work across the Brisbane metropolitan area — including North Brisbane, South Brisbane, the Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, and surrounding areas like Redcliffe, Logan, and Ipswich. If you're not sure whether we cover your suburb, just ask.

Do you provide written quotes?

Yes. After an initial site visit or consultation, we provide a written, itemised quote so you can see exactly what's included and how the price is made up. We don't do vague ballpark figures.

How long will my project take?

It depends on the scope. A deck or bathroom renovation might take 1–2 weeks. An extension or new build will typically run 8–20+ weeks depending on size, approvals, and site conditions. We'll give you a realistic timeframe at the quoting stage and keep you updated throughout.

Do I need council approval for my project?

Some work requires a Development Approval (DA) or building approval through Brisbane City Council or your local council. We can advise you on what's required for your project and help coordinate approvals - or work directly from approved plans you've already obtained.

Do you manage the subcontractors?

Yes. For work that requires licensed subcontractors - such as plumbing and electrical — we coordinate and manage them as part of your project. You deal with us, not a rotating cast of trades.

What's your payment structure?

We follow the standard Queensland QBCC payment framework for residential work. For contracts over $3,300, a deposit of no more than 10% applies, with progress payments tied to build stages. We'll walk you through this clearly before you sign anything.
